E-Books

This guide describes the many e-book resources available through the NU Library and how to use them.

Find E-Books in Find a Resource

You may use the Library's Find a Resource tool to search across many of the e-book collections. This technique is particularly helpful if you are looking for a specific book title.

To access Find a Resource, click on the link above or go to the Research Resources menu on the Library's home page. Find a Resource is also found on the next tab over from NavigatorSearch, the central search box found on the Library’s homepage.

Once on the Find a Resource home page, select Books Only to limit your search to e-books, as shown below.

Next, enter a title, keyword, or ISBN and click Search. Make sure to select the appropriate field from the drop-down menu.

If you do not know the exact title, but at least know one or more words contained within the title, select “Title contains all words” from the drop-down menu to the left. Then, type in your terms and click Search. If the Library has access to the e-book, the title will appear in your record results.

The results screen will display available e-books, as shown below. Click on the hyperlinked database name which appears below the book title to access the full-text e-book.
