Kira Litvin

I am originally from the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania area, but have lived in Florida, New York, Ohio, Maryland (briefly), and now Denver, Colorado. In my career as an English language teacher, I have spent a good part the last decade living overseas in Indonesia (2003-2004), South Korea (1999-2000 & 2004-2007) and Qatar (2007-2012). Living overseas with my husband and daughter has been the most rewarding part of my life so far! We love travelling and experiencing other cultures.

Since 1997, I have taught all levels of English and teacher training to adult learners from around the world. In 1999, I received my Master’s degree in Cultural Studies with an emphasis in TESOL from Bowling Green State University in Ohio. In 2012, I completed my Master’s in Library and Information Science from Clarion University of Pennsylvania’s distance learning program accredited by the American Library Association, while I was working as full-time librarian for Qatar University’s Library. I love being a librarian and helping people find the information and research resources they need! I truly believe in life-long learning, and am currently exploring web authoring tools, HTML, CSS and instructional design. I am very happy to be working with NCU faculty, staff and students!
