Lindsay Martinez

I am originally from California but was raised in Phoenix, Arizona and consider myself a devoted Phoenician. Growing up I was very involved in softball, having played since I was 9 years old. As a kid my mom took us to our local public library often.  I didn’t like reading when I was young and struggled with keeping up with my grade, until I was introduced to book series such as The Babysitters Club and Goosebumps.  Now as an adult I enjoy a variety of books. Some of my favorite authors are Jillian Flynn, Patricia Briggs, and of course JK Rowling.

My family and I recently moved to Prescott Valley last year to escape the busy city. I started working with Northcentral University in November of 2011. This is my first job working in a library and it has been great.  I have an Associate’s degree from Glendale Community College, and plan on continuing my education in Social Behaviors.  I believe in the work we are doing in the library and hope to help students reach their academic goals. I am excited to see the future of Northcentral University Library.
