This resource was chosen as it explores three (3) key methods in which social media can be used within a K-12 environment. In conjunction with active learning, community building and participation, social media platforms can actively prepare a specific population for educational messaging during critical incidents. This resource can be used to extrapolate on best practices for social media usage before, during and after an emergency event.
