Google for School

Google Books allows you to search the full text of books and other resources such as magazines and newspapers. Some books are provided by publishers, while others are scanned as part of the Library Project. It can serve as a resource to learn about and browse titles pertinent to your research interests. 

Books are displayed in Google Books using the below view types. These view types are based on a title's copyright and copyright owner.

• Full View: Allows you to access the full text of the title, including works that are out of copyright and in the public domain. Examples: Naturalis historiae by Pliny (the Elder), 1668; Integrating Quantitative and Qualitative Research in Development Projects
• Limited Preview: Allows you to access specific chapters or portions of a title. Some pages, if not many, are omitted and limited in this preview format. Example: Castle by David Macaulay
• Snippet View: Displays information about the book plus a few snippets, which are a few sentences of your search term in context within the title. 
• No Preview Available: Only provides basic details about the title. Example: A Dictionary of Zoology edited by Michael Allaby
