- First, read the sections entitled “The Argument” and "Part I: Introduction". These two sections provide you with an outline of the conditions in which people with disabilities live and how they work to resist oppression.
  Next, read Chapter 2: The Dimensions of Disability Oppression: An Overview. In Chapter 2, you will learn about the multifaceted and complex ways in which disability oppression takes place. The Disability Rights Movement (DRM) looked to social and political movements that worked against the disabled community. This includes the political world, the economic system, and dominant culture and ideology.
